Reason: Conveying the novelty that self-deprecation and the critical nature of outward individuals means nothing when your time has passed.
Solution: Communicating a narrative not only through type but through the progression of 50s idealistic visual chaos—as the publication progresses chaos and disorderly visuals relate to the climax and narrative. Pages turn black to express unconsciousness, pages turn in uncomfortable ways, and gestured marks break the facade.
